What's so ironic is that the people supposedly "helped" by these policies are the people most harmed by them. Minorities who really are qualified are unfairly tarred with suspicion of getting in only through special privilege, while those who AREN'T qualified unfairly reinforce the notion that minorities are inferior to whites. Often, individuals who would do fine in community colleges are admitted to elite universities, where they are destined to fail. WHAT is the point???
