VIBE SHIFT: New York City Will End Debit Card Program For Migrant Families

The country’s mass migration experiment has reached its limit

The New York City government will put an end to a pilot program that doled out prepaid debit cards to migrant families to assist them with food purchases. The Big Apple rolled out the pilot program earlier in 2024 

The program allowed migrant families to purchase food at bodegas, convenience stores, grocery stores, and supermarkets. 

“Through the immediate response cards pilot program, we were able to reduce food waste, redirect millions of dollars to our local economy, and provide more culturally relevant food to more than 2,600 migrant families in our care,” a City Hall spokesperson stated on October 7. 

The City Hall spokesperson revealed that the contract for the pilot program will not be renewed when it expires in January 2025.

“As we move towards more competitive contracting for asylum-seeker programs, we have chosen not to renew the emergency contract for this pilot program once the one-year term concludes,” the City Hall spokesperson commented.

The city will subsequently pivot to food delivery services for migrants  under the government’s care using a hotel voucher program, per the City Hall spokesperson. 

“For over two years, we have provided care to more than 222,000 migrants while saving $2 billion in asylum seeker-related costs. Thanks to our resettlement efforts, intensive case management, and national-leading Asylum Application Help Center, more than 160,000 migrants have left our shelter system and taken their next steps towards self-sufficiency,” the City Hall spokesperson announced. 

With the election of Donald Trump, who largely won on a platform of immigration restriction, leftist cities nationwide are behaving in a politically cynical manner by rolling back certain immigration magnets. They’re recognizing that the American public is increasingly getting fed up with the mass migration experiment they’re being subjected to. 

As a result, they’re rolling back these policies. But deep down, these leftist city officials want to continue the “Great Replacement.” In the meantime, they’ll take whatever gains they’re made and lay low for the time being. 

However, America First nationalists should not let these people off the hook. They must expose these treasonous political officials and make sure that local voters punish them for their political misbehavior. To bring about lasting national change, we first must clean up our municipal governments.
