According to a Rasmussen poll, 51% of likely United States voters are in favor of former President Donald Trump’s selection of JD Vance as vice presidential candidate. This includes 31% who strongly approve of this move.
At 39 years of age, Vance is the youngest vice presidential selection since Dwight D. Eisenhower tapped Richard Nixon as his running mate in 1952. 75% of Republican voters support Vance as their party’s vice presidential choice, which includes 52% who strongly approve. Vance also enjoys the approval of 30% of Democrat voters and 48% of independent voters.
52% of white voters, 40% of black voters, 55% of Hispanic voters, and 47% of non-black minorities approve of Vance as the GOP’s vice presidential candidate.
52% of self-identified conservative voters strongly approve of Vance as the GOP’s vice presidential candidate, in addition to 17% of moderate voters and 13% of liberal voters.
58% of government employees approve of Trump’s selection of Vance, while 48% of private sector workers, 54% of entrepreneurs, and 50% of retirees like the Vance selection.
As far as income categories are concerned, most voters making between $30,000 and $100,000 annually are in favor of Vance being selected as the Republican vice presidential candidate. By contrast, a majority of individuals making $200,000 annually are in disagreement.
Compared to his ultra neoconservative counterparts, Vance is a breath of fresh air due to his pro-immigration restriction views and his restrained foreign policy inclinations.
Whatever his flaws, Vance is part of the new, populist GOP, which should be thoroughly embraced by national populists.
Yup, JD Vance is "America First"*
