Gary, Indiana is Forced To Scrap Sanctuary Policy for Illegal Alien Invaders

Red states are finally laying down the law

Back in 2017, the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) filed a lawsuit against the city of Gary, Indiana for its sanctuary policies towards illegal alien invaders. The lawsuit argued that such a policy was in clear violation of Indiana state law, which prohibits the establishment of sanctuary cities statewide. 

According to a report by John Binder of Breitbart News, Gary ended up getting rid of its pro-illegal alien sanctuary policy last week. The law that bans sanctuary policies was passed in 2011. 

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita also issued a threat to take legal action against officials in Gary if the sanctuary city policy was not discarded. The policy prevented local police from turning over illegal aliens arrested on local criminal offenses to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

“Indiana has become a great success story for the repeal of illegal and dangerous sanctuary policies,” IRLI Executive Director Dale Wilcox declared. “Where state laws against sanctuary policies exist, state attorneys general can bring tremendous positive change by compelling local jurisdictions to comply with the law.”

Gary is the second city in Indiana to get rid of its sanctuary city policy.

In July, officials in East Chicago, Indiana, got rid of their sanctuary city policy to abide by the state’s prohibition on sanctuary jurisdictions. Rokita filed a lawsuit against East Chicago for the city’s sanctuary policy

“The Indiana model needs to be emulated in other states to push back against the crime, overcrowding, and lawlessness we are seeing in too many cities today,” Wilcox declared.

Once a city where the average person could live a normal middle class lifestyle, Gary, Indiana has morphed into another dilapidated Rust Belt city thanks to the Civil Rights Revolution of the 1960s that chased away many productive whites. To add insult to injury, the same policymakers that practically ethnically cleansed Gary of whites want to continue to double down with the anti-white policies by allowing illegal alien invaders to freely roam around the city. 

Thankfully, Republican leadership at the state level are growing a pair by stopping these insane civilization destroying policies. Red states need to start getting serious about fighting all forms of mass migration — be it legal or illegal — if they want to set the country straight.
