Exit Polls Point to a Major Working Class Realignment for Donald Trump
Has the Republican Party been fully transformed?
On November 5, 2024, former President Donald Trump punched his ticket to returning to the Oval Office by defeating his rival Vice President Kamala Harris. The working class realignment that brought Trump to office in 2016 has not subsided whatsoever,
According to exit polls from CNN, Donald Trump won the vote of individuals making less than $50,000 annually by a margin of 49% to 48%. Trump held a similar advantage for voters making less than $100,000.
By contrast, Kamala Harris won the vote of Americans making $100,000 or more by a margin of 53% to 45%
In a similar vein, Jeff Stein, the White House economics reporter for The Washington Post observed a major working class realignment for Trump:
Staggering class realignment/shift in working class
Harris lost DESPITE major shift of affluent voters her way
2020: Trump wins voters over $100K, 54-52
2024: *Harris* wins voters over $100K, 54-45
2020: Biden wins voters $50K-$100K, 57-42
2024: *Trump* w/ voters $50K-$100K, 49-47
2020: Biden wins voters under $50K, 55-45
2024: Trump massive improvement w/ voters under $50K, 49-48
Stein corrected one of the figures in a following tweet, saying “Sorry correction 2020 should say: 2020: Trump wins voters over $100K, 54-42.”
Indeed, the Democrat’s promotion of mass migration and free trade since the end of the Cold War have had a devastating impact on America’s middle and working classes. On top of that, the Biden regime’s inflationary policies have made millions poorer. Many regime economists tried to downplay this inflation, but voters simply weren’t having it. Their grocery and gas bills said it all.
Now it’s up to the America First grassroots to pressure GOP elected officials and ensure that they pass America First measures such as immigration restriction, tariffs, a return to sound money, and a downsizing of the administrative state. If elected officials refuse to put forward these measures, they must be replaced with America First alternatives in the primaries.
It’s that simple.
Comparisons with 2020 seem odd, no? Given the magical 20M “voters” that existed in no prior or subsequent campaign…
The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) is an agreement among a group of U.S. states to award all their EVs to whichever presidential ticket wins the overall popular vote in the 50 states.
Will Illinois and the other Blue States honor their commitment or remove this joke requirement from the books?
