ELECTION PLOY: Migrant Apprehensions at Southern Border Hit Lowest Level of Biden Era
This is a clear plot to divert the public's attention from a failed border security regime
According to a report by Bob Price of Breitbart News, the arrests of illegal alien invaders who cross the southwest border with Mexico between points of entry recently reached its lowest point of the Biden regime. The steep decline in migrant apprehensions came after a series of election-year ploys to distract voters from the prior three and a half years of practically non-existent border security policies.
Border Patrol agents apprehended 83,536 migrants who illegally entered the US’s southern border with Mexico in June, per the Southwest Land Border Encounters report published by US Customs and Border Protection earlier this month. The report details the lowest number of migrant encounters since President Joe Biden was installed in office in January 2021.
In February 2021, the first month of the Biden regime, migrant encounters increased from 75,316 in January to 97,643. The numbers continued to increase for the upcoming three years, reaching a peak of close to 250,000 in December 2023.
“Biden deserted his duty on his first day in office,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared at the Republican National Convention on July 17. “He gutted President Trump’s policies, and the result has been catastrophic.”
Abbott continued by noting during his speech that the Biden border crisis has let over 11 million migrant invaders illegally enter the US.
As migrant apprehensions peaked at roughly 250,000 in December 2023, the Biden regime held talks with the Mexican government to hammer out a deal to force Mexico to slow the number of migrants crossing the US southern border.
Earlier in 2024, Randy Clark of Breitbart News argued that then-Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s willingness to clamp down on migrant crossings may have more to do with helping U.S. President Joe Biden and his own ruling Morena political party politically rather than securing the border. “A temporary pause in migration designed to ensure a November win for the Democrats in the United States and a June win for AMLO’s Morena party candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, could keep the border wide open for years to come.” Sheinbaum proceeded to win the election and become the current president of Mexico.
The temporary campaign by the Mexican government led to a roughly 50% decrease in migrant apprehensions the subsequent month, per a report by Breitbart Texas. After plummeting approval ratings for President Joe Biden on the immigration and border security issue and a meeting between the Mexican president and two Biden regime cabinet members, actions carried out by the Mexican government caused a drop of over 125,000 migrant apprehensions in January.
These moves by the Biden regime and the Mexican government are a clear electoral ploy to divert the public’s attention from the clear failure of Biden’s immigration policies. They’re banking on the public’s short-attention span to pull a fast one ahead of the 2024 presidential election cycle.
Rest assured, if Democrats somehow maintain control of the White House once the dust settles from the presidential election in November, one can expect the mass migration deluge will continue apace. You can take that to the bank.
