Declassified Bombshell: Intel Had Video Of Wuhan Virus Experiments While Fauci Denied Everything

Newly released files suggest officials knew far more about Wuhan gain-of-function research than Americans were told.

For years, Dr. Anthony Fauci insisted that U.S. taxpayers did not fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. But newly declassified intelligence documents released by former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard appear to tell a very different story.

According to the bombshell records, a U.S. intelligence official circulated a video in 2021 showing EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak openly discussing how Chinese researchers manipulated coronavirus spike proteins to determine whether the viruses could infect human cells.

The video, recorded at a 2016 conference hosted by the New York Academy of Medicine, featured Daszak describing experiments conducted by his “colleagues in China” that inserted spike proteins from bat coronaviruses into laboratory-created particles to test their ability to bind to human cells.

According to the declassified email, an intelligence official alerted colleagues that the footage showed Chinese scientists manipulating coronaviruses to make them more dangerous—a revelation that directly contradicted Fauci’s public claims at the time that the federal government had not funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan.

The disclosure raises new questions about what Fauci knew and when he knew it.

While Fauci repeatedly denied before Congress that the National Institutes of Health funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, the NIH later acknowledged that taxpayer-funded experiments had altered bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in ways consistent with gain-of-function research.

Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance was a key intermediary in directing U.S. grant money to Wuhan researchers before the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in President Trump’s second term, the Department of Health and Human Servicessuspended EcoHealth Alliance and Daszak from receiving federal funds for five years over their role in funneling taxpayer dollars to the Chinese lab.

The newly released records also reveal that a whistleblower complaint alleging Fauci misled Congress about gain-of-function research was effectively buried during the Biden administration. Rather than referring the allegations to the independent inspector general responsible for investigating HHS officials, then-DNI Avril Haines routed the complaint to Biden Health Secretary Xavier Becerra.

Gabbard argued the documents show a coordinated effort by government officials to conceal the truth about COVID’s origins and shield powerful bureaucrats from accountability.

“The tactics used to hide the truth are straight from the Deep State playbook,” Gabbard said, accusing Fauci and other officials of manipulating intelligence, misleading Congress, and withholding critical information from the American people.

The revelations are likely to intensify demands from conservatives for a full investigation into Fauci’s testimony, the origins of COVID-19, and the role taxpayer-funded research may have played in the pandemic that reshaped the world.

Adding to the controversy, Fauci accepted a pardon from former President Joe Biden before leaving government service, while continuing to deny that he lied to Congress or engaged in wrongdoing.

With new evidence continuing to emerge from declassified intelligence files, the questions that Fauci and his allies spent years dismissing are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
