Australia Bans Candace Owens From Entering the Country
Australia has become a pathetic satrapy of the American Empire
On October 27, 2024, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that right-wing influencer Candace Owens had been prohibited from entering Australia after making several politically incorrect statements about Jewish influence in American politics.
Tony Burke, the Immigration Minister, announced that the Australian government had canceled her visa, which makes her unable to travel to the Land Down Under for her upcoming tour.
“From downplaying the impact of the Holocaust with comments about [German SS officer Josef] Mengele through to claims that Muslims started slavery, Candace Owens has the capacity to incite discord in almost every direction,” Burke declared.
“Australia’s national interest is best served when Candace Owens is somewhere else,” added Burke. Organized Jewish interests have previously pushed for the cancellation of her visa in August.
Jewish groups previously called for her visa to be canceled back in August, with Burke informing the Sydney Morning Herald "Tickets to these events are selling for $100. I hope she has a good refunds policy."
The Candace Owens Live! Tour was slated to take place in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth. VIP tickets for her Australia tour were on sale for $1500.
Owens said to Australia's Radio 2GB in August that she was "surprised" to learn of calls to cancel her visa declaring, "I promise you it is not going to harm you to hear different ideas.” The Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC), an Australian-Jewish ethnic grievance group led by Israel-Australian academic Dvir Abramovich, described the decision as a "victory for truth."
The visa cancellation of Owens, "a known peddler of dangerous rhetoric against Jews and other groups, and unapologetic Holocaust denial," represented a victory for "the millions of Jewish souls and millions of others whose memory she so shamelessly desecrated," the ADC added.
That said, the Australian Jewish Association (AJC) criticized the Australian government’s decision, saying that while they did not support Owens' "bizarre antisemitic conspiracy theories," they viewed the move as a "flawed proposal" and one that went against the ostensive Jewish values of free speech.
They also added that prohibiting Owens may turn out to be a "counter-productive pyrrhic victory."
"Sometimes attempting to ban a speaker can [...] encourage ugly conspiracies that Jews seek to control who can speak, exercising undue power,” the AJC added.
The AJC noted that they were more worried with the failure of the Labor government dealing with the alleged rise of antisemitism in Australian institutions, such as at universities, describing Owens' prohibition as "a false appearance of acting against antisemitism, in effect throwing us a few crumbs while ignoring the big issues."
Whatever one has to say about Owens’ views about the influence of organized Jewry in the West, the fact that Australia has had to impose a travel ban on Owens is testament to how captured the country is by the Judeo-American Empire. Australia, like its Anglosphere counterparts, is supposed to be a place where free speech is allowed to thrive.
However, that has changed in the post-Western environment of the present-day Anglosphere, where basic freedoms are becoming more of an afterthought. It would not be a stretch to suggest that the US State Department placed pressure on its Australian satrapy to restrict Owens’ ability to travel.
As for Owens, she’s testing the limits of free speech by venturing into taboo topics that are largely ignored by Western chattering classes. Whether they’re off the mark or not, they should be subject to debate and further scrutiny, not censorship.
After all, free speech is not just about talking about the weather.
One hundred percent disagree with Candace Owens and the Holocaust and Jews. But, Australia should let the discussion happen. Why the ban?
She had brass balls.
